British Airways used a digital billboard with a great placement next to an air port. The location was perfect and made the impact of the video that was played on the digital billboard and helped to reinforced the message. Here you can see how important the billboards placement is. For British Airways the placement was the key ingredient that med this billboard go viral.

Universidad de Ingeniería & Tecnología / University of Engineering and Technology in Lima, Peru made this awsome and creative billboard, the advertisement for UTECs Portable Water Generator is great. This billboard also went viral, but serves a greater purpose than most bilboards. Here they highlight one of the major problems in developing countries and also one of the main problems some suffer with. It is a fact that not everyone has running water that is safe to drink in or near their houses. It's actually so bad that there are those who have to walk several miles to reach a water hole, check out this billboard and learn more about how creative one can be used to illustrate certain problems.

There are tons different types of billboards and I will try to find some examples to show of in my next billboard advertisement post. Learn to succeed in sales by reading your customers

There are almost as many different types of customers that it makes people, we're all unique and we all have special characteristics that make us unique. But it actually goes to divide your customers into different compartments. There's the lazy customer, Squeaky customer, the customer who already knows everything about everything and there is also a client who wants to be friends with everyone. To succeed in selling to all kinds of people, no matter what category the person belongs to, you have to be able to read the person you meet and putting your customer in the right category, and after putting him in a category - you then know how you should approached and sell to him.

The different types of customers

Maybe you think the "Besserwisser" is a dog or a german hot dog, but it is not. People falling under the "besserwisser" category are people who are "wiseguys" and who has the know-it-all mentality. This is the category for those who obnoxiously claims to be knowledgeable on your subject. Learn how to handle and sell to a person who claims he knows it all.

• The tedious customer

The tedious customer is a tired but stabel person, this is a good customer to have - but you have to get through to him. This is also a person who might be socially inexperienced and tend to get a little off by new situations. Learn how to handle and sell to a person who claims he knows it all.

• Your new best friend

This is a person who wants to be everyones friend, he loves to talk, used to be in the center of attention and him to is probably working as a salesman. Learn how to handle and sell to another salesperson.

How to handle and sell to a besserwisser

Learning how to handle a wiseguy is acctually quite simple, you should handle such a person in the same way no matter what type of situation you face him, if it is at school, as a work colleague or even if he is your potential customer.

To successfully sell something to someone who claims to know everything about your product, similar products and your industry, than you have to be very professional in your tactics. It is easy to start a argument or showing your skills of when talking to these types of people, but dont do that. For this type of person it is extremely important that the he feels important, he will also try to do everything in his power to get the people in his surrounding to feel stupid or inadequate.
There are lots of salepersons who tries to be cocky or go into "battle" with this type of person - but you should know this is the worst thing you can do when trying to sell to wiseguy. Cause if you do, you will never achieve your goal to sell to him.

The best thing you can do when trying to sell to a wiseguy (besserwisser) is to be professional, anoint their confidence a lot, give them compliments when they talk about topics related to your industry, declaring that "You had never been able to figure it out yourself" - "What fun that you mention it - I had no idea about it."


Your goal is to use a sale tactic where in the customer feels superior in his behavior, because when a wiseguy in a sales situation feels superior, they will feel good and when a customer feel good, then he will buy your product or service from you.

How to sell to tedious customers

This a boring but stabel person, this is a good customer to have - but you have to get through to him. If you have a boring customer it is important to let this person take his time, show him that it is okey for him to take his time to make his decision and try to connect with this type of customer by letting him know that he can trust you. So build up your sale based on trust!

Sell more to the customer who wants to be your best friend

It is easy to make friends, but how do you sell to someone who wants to be everyones friend? Do you know the type of person I am talking about? The customer who wants to be your "best friend". This is a customer That is enthusiastic and outgoing. He loves to talk and is always in the center. This type of customer is involved in everything and in everyone, he lives with strong impulses and is a buyer who loves to buy things that draw attention to themselves. People who fall in to the "best friend" category is probably working with other humans in one way or another. To make a sucessfull sale to this type of person the communication is the key to sucess. You have to reach out to them as a friend, ask question about what this customer thoughts and feelings about your products and services are and when he tells you how much he loves your prodcuts the opportunity arises when you will be able to seal the deal.

Learn to use competitive advantages
as a secret weapon

You can not be everything to everyone, there are just too many and to big actors in your industry that offers the best in a particular area of ​​either product range, price or service. Often the major companies chooses the two of the three options I mentioned. And almost every time they target pricing and product range. After finding your competitive advantage

Ask yourself the following question - What makes your company different from your competitors? If you do not have an answer then you could run in to major problems. If you do not have any competitive advantages, it is not likely that your business will be long-lasting.

• Will your targeted audience appreciate the advantage?
• Will you manage to keep your promises/advantage?
• Will the customers believe in the highlighted benefits?
• Will your targeted group appreciate the advantage?

One of Apples competitive advantages is their product range.

Another way to do this is to see if you can provide multiple versions of your products, perhaps your competitors only offer the product in the color "black and white", maybe you then could create your products in the colors green, blue, red and yellow? Sell more by caring about your customers

Take a moment to think about this - Have you ever felt unsafe before or after a purchase of any product or service? Perhaps you have felt it in your stomach, how it gnaws at you and you feel you might have made your biggest mistake. You may feel that you paid too much for the product, that you choosed the wrong brand, color or model? Maybe the seller lied to you and that it's not going to be as good as they claimed?

So? Yes, you probably might recognize your self in this and maybe you think that this post is really addressed to the copers, but it is not. This post is for those who want to increase sales through understanding your self and your competitiors. How you and your business/store could be better in your roles as business owners and sellers. Often you need to give your customers good support, but how do you sell support and while supporting/helping the potential client also help to push him over the edge so that he makes the correct decision and the sale goes through?

By pushing the the client to early, he will lock up and be scared. If you do it too late the customer may already be lost. So the best thing you can do is to get the customer to understand that YOU and him are the best of friends. To do this you need to show him that you are not going to be a "complicated" seller - cause that will scare him of and make it hard for him to come back to your store if he ever was to regret the purchase afterwards. Your job as a salesman and entrepreneur is to know every aspect of your products and have a good insight on all the competing products on your market. And if it is not be better than your competitors products, don't worry your product is still the best, you can lure him and press on all disadvantages your competitors  products, which is not always the best thing to do - but maybe instead of bashing down on your competitors you could highlight the benefits of your own product.

Now it is time for you to become an expert, an expert on your products and product category. By placing competitors' products against your own products the magic of a sale will most likely occur. People that work with this type of tactical comparative sales - often sell more. Making money on your knowledge

The more you know about your product and similar products the more enthusiasm you will radiate. You should simply be your customers expert in this field, you must be that they put their trust into. If you doubt your product or not mastered it enough, you will transfer the uncertainty on the client. So you have to ask yourself the question if you believe in what you are selling. If you answer yes to that question, then the security to be passed on to the customer automatically when you speak. To truly succeed in sales you should not invest everything in selling, because it allows you probably already but you must invest more time and effort to get to know your customers, your products and your product segments. Should I be making a sex tape?

Creating a buzz by creating a sex tape or just will this lead to a big fail?

By making a sex tape could be one of the most smartest or one of the stupidest things you do, it could make you rich, it could be a highly effective marketing tool for you or your brand. But it good also back fire depending on your followers/customers. It is often a good way to post sexist movies and clips about your product on youtube. Everybody loves sex.

The reason you should also make a sex tape is just because the spread it could take, it is a good way to reach out and depending on the sexiness or humor your clip has the wider the spread will be about your company. When I write that your company should make a sex-tape with your wife, I don't mean you should do a real sextape cause that movie will be taken down from youtube in an instant. Uploading a sexy youtube video will be a magnet and if promoted right it will probably be seen by thousands. I mean you should do a "sexy" tape, a clip about sex which is either educating potential customers how they can use your tools in another way, or just use something that makes your product look more sexy. We all now that sex sells, and it sells great on the internet!

So which companies could use youtube to sell more by marketing sex. Here are the three that is in the top of my mind,

1. A company in the sex industry who wants to market them self
2. A company producing tools. Good way to market a lube company So what do you think? Could your company make a sex tape as way to market your company or your products?
3. Bike company, Everyone loves bikes and girls who ride bikes have strong slim legs?

There are also a lot of famous actor who started by doing porn, stars like David Duchovny, Sasha Grey, Matt LeBlanc, Jackie Chan and Carmeron Diaz starred in a bit to sexy movies.
